The woman dubbed the First Lady of the Guitar will be performing a Christmas concert in Tillsonburg.
TILLSONBURG - Christmas is coming early in Tillsonburg this year.
World-renownecd classical guitarist Liona Boyd will be performing a Winter Fantasy at St. Paul's Church on Friday November 17th. The woman dubbed the First Lady of the Guitar will be performing a Christmas concert with Andrew Dolson and Tillsonburgs own St. Mary's Children's Choir.
Liona Boyd says she is excited to be playing in Tillsonburg.
"I have always loved playing in the smaller communities like Tillsonburg, I have played every capital in the world just about, I actually wrote a song called Little Towns, it's on my album the Return to Canada with Love."
Part of the funds from the concert will support the Annandale National Historic Site. Boyd says it promises to be a really fun Christmas show.
"The audience will have a chance to sing along with the songs and also because it's Canada's 150 I am going to do my patriotic song Canada My Canada."
Liona's new book and new album, No Remedy for Love, will be available at her Tillsonburg performance.
Concert tickets are available at Annandale National Historic Site, Station Arts Centre and Trinkets Gift Shoppe in Tillsonburg. For information call Annandale NHS at 519-842-2294.
