Shelby Pellow-Murray is in Perry, Georgia taking part in the 2024 NBHA World Championship.
GEORGIA - A Foldens resident is representing at the 2024 NBHA World Championship in Perry, Georgia.
Shelby Pellow-Murray will be looking to make a statement for Oxford County and have a good showing at the event, which started on Sunday and will wrap up on Saturday. She explains how she ended up at the event.
"So, I qualified for it last year. They take the top 5 in each division in your districts at home, then you get to come down and compete for worlds."
Pellow-Murray is very excited to be taking part in the event and knows the high honour it is to be at the world championship.
"I just did my round one run, and then I will run in round two on Thursday. Depending on where I land in the standings, I can advance to the Saturday finals."
She says if she does not make it straight to the finals, she will have the opportunity to compete in the redemption round on Friday. Pellow-Murray says there is a way for friends and family back home in Oxford County to watch and cheer her on. There will be a live stream for the entire event.
The live stream link can be found by visiting the NBHA website.
