Carson McKie and Jevaughn Roberts will represent Oxford County when Team Ontario battles Team Alberta in the Canada Cup bronze medal game tomorrow.
EDMONTON - A student from Delhi Secondary School has been given the opportunity to shine in Edmonton.
Carson McKie lives in Otterville. He was approached by his high school football coach at practice back in February and was told to try out for team Ontario and compete in the tournament.
Carson's Mom, Amy McKie says this is an amazing opportunity for him.
"It's just given us a place to play some more football, be coached by amazing coaches from Ontario. To be, scouted. The scouts are always at, games that he's at. He's just got his eyes open to more opportunities for him. After Team Ontario, he is eligible to try out for Team Canada, so he'll be trying out for that, and that will be held next year in June in Edmonton."
McKie is an offensive lineman and is joined in Edmonton by College Avenue Secondary School student, Jevaughn Roberts as a running back representing Woodstock.
Team Ontario will face Team Alberta in the Canada Cup bronze medal game this Saturday and you can livestream it online here.
