Police are preaching lock it or lose it after a number of vehicle entries in the Friendly City this weekend.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police are preaching lock it or lose it after a number of vehicle entries over the weekend.
Police are investigating a number of vehicle entries in the Friendly City. Woodstock Police along with the OPP will be promoting the Lock It or Lose It program starting now and continuing through the Christmas Holidays.
Leaving vehicles unlocked with the windows down is inviting thieves to break in. Police are encouraging the public to take action and to lock up their vehicles and secure them in a well lit location, or garage if possible.
It is also to be noted that it only takes 30 seconds for a skilled thief to break into a vehicle and to drive away so please take caution.
Woodstock Police want anyone with any information on vehicle entries, or any other property crimes to call them at 519-537-2323 or Crime Stoppers 421-TIPS (8477) or toll free at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)
