Members of the Faithway Baptist Church are offering to help members of the community with indoor and outdoor chores this week.
WOODSTOCK - Members of the Faithway Baptist Church are showing some love for their neighbours this week. They will help out with painting, yard work and other chores for free, as part of the Love Your Neighbour initiative.
Team Member Keith Graydon witnessed Love Your Neighbour in action while visiting a community in Quebec and decided to bring in to the Friendly City.
"Really felt like we should do it here in Woodstock where we live and get churches involved because Jesus Christ love is free for everyone, that's why we need to show that love to other people."
Graydon tells us about some of the chores they have done so far.
"We did some painting on Saturday, we did some landscaping on Monday and right now we are trimming hedges and peeling wallpaper."
Graydon adds he hopes Love Your Neighbour in Woodstock will grow over the years.
"It may be a two week project next year if we have enough interest and may involve other churches. Hopefully it grows but it is a one week thing for now and it will be annual."
