The federal government is putting money behind the Heroes of Zorra website and weekend festivities. Local MP Dave MacKenzie announced just over 84 hundred dollars for the site which launches this Saturday during a weekend of special commemorative events. Chair of the Committee for the Heroes of Zorra Shirley McCall Hanlon says the funding allows them to not only honour these brave men and women, but also allows the event to be free to the public.
