Police seized over $47,000 in drugs and stolen property after executing a search warrant at a home in Ingersoll.
INGERSOLL - Two people from Ingersoll are facing several drug related charges after police executed a search warrant on Frances Street.
Members of the Oxford, Brand, Perth, Huron, Elgin, Middlesex and Haldimand County OPP community Street Crime Units teamed up for the drug bust on Friday. They found cocaine, hydromorphone, and marijuana inside the home along with suspected stolen property including, a camper trailer, 3 motorcycles, 2 bicycles and various power tools.
The combined estimated value of the seized Controlled Substances and suspected stolen property is approximately $47,600.
Police arrested and charged 28 year old Brittany Akworth and 35 year old Terrance White at the scene.
They are facing several charges under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act and Criminal Code of Canada offences including, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 and over $5,000, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of Trafficking.
