A 41-year-old man will make a court appearance tomorrow, charged with 2nd degree murder in the death of a Woodstock woman. 84-year-old Pearl Brown was found by police Tuesday night inside a Huron St. home, after responding to a report of a collapsed woman, around 6:15PM. Police say Brown died under suspicious circumstances, launching a homicide investigation. They say a post mortem confirmed that Brown's death was a homicide, but police aren't specifying the exact cause of her death. The 41-year-old suspect was arrested at 4PM today, and is being held in custody with a court appearance scheduled for tomorrow morning, at which time his name can be released. Woodstock Police say there is no threat to the community, and that no other information will be released as investigators work to gather evidence for an eventual court case.
