A quick response by the Woodstock Fire Department this morning led to only minimal damage in a house fire on Wilson St. Crews responded to the blaze at 5:30 this morning, finding light smoke coming from the rear of the building. The property houses four separate rental units, and fire crews were able to contain the blaze to just the one unit. Only one person will be displaced by the fire. The cause remains under investigation and damage to the structure and contents are estimated at 15-thousand dollars. The fire department credits working smoke alarms from preventing a tragedy in the blaze.
