Salvation Army puts out appeal to those who have yet to donate gifts for their angels
The Woodstock Salvation Army has some missing angels on its hands.
There are about 100 angels that have been taken off of angel trees in the community that haven't yet been returned.
The angel tree program sees less fortunate children in the community make a small wish list of gifts they want for Christmas, and shoppers pick those lists off the angel tree to buy for those children.
Director of the local Sally Ann, Vanessa Scotney-Page tells Heart FM the missing angels are a week overdue. "The deadline date was December 10th, and I know there were a few out there that I have given an extension to. But we're really looking for them to come back by the end of today. There is still a process in order to get them ready to go out on Thursday, and they have to be at the Church by Wednesday evening."
Those donations for the angels need be dropped off at the Salvation Army at 190 Huron by 4PM today.
Anyone who is having an issue buying for their angel can call the Salvation Army at 519-539-6166.
