The NDP motion to open up outdoor activities such as tennis and golf immediately failed with 63 MPP's voting no and 21 voting yes.
The NDP motion to re-open all outdoor amenities immediately was defeated today at Queens Park.
The majority Conservative MPP's voted in party lines with the final vote 63 saying no and 21 voting yes.
The motion called for the immediate re-opening of outdoor activities such as golf, tennis, basketball courts and cricket patches. Deputy Premier Christine Elliott hinted that some of those restrictions could be lifted sooner than later.
"Today is not the day to open everything up, I believe that would be irresponsible for us to do that today. We are following the evidence on a daily basis and it will happen on or before June 2nd."
Elliott stated other events, such as summer camps, golf and tennis could be available on June 2nd, or even before depending on clinical evidence.
