Dylan Moscovitch helped Team Canada win a silver medal in the Olympic team event in Sochi, and now he's coming to Norwich with his Russian skating partner.
NORWICH - The Norwich District Skating Club is going to inspire their skaters to dream big, with an Olympian guest skater in their annual carnival.
Dylan Moscovitch helped Team Canada win a silver medal in the Olympic team event in Sochi. Now he's going to be coming to Norwich with his skating partner Lubov Ilyushechkina.
Carnival Chair Angela Simpson is looking forward to their performance.
"We are excited to have this new pairing come and display their skating skills."
The pair was the top Canadian team at Worlds in sixth place.
This also isn't the first time Moscovitch has hit the ice at the Norwich Community Centre. He was a guest skater about seven years ago, back when he was partnered with his sister Kyra.
Simpson says the guest skater is always an exciting addition to the ice show.
"We bring guest skaters into the carnival for added appeal to the carnival show and to highlight skating to our skaters and to fans young and old who enjoy the sport."
The club's Dare to Dream Carnival will take place on Saturday April 7th; with shows at 1:30pm and 7pm. Admission is $10 for an adult or $5 for youth ages 5 to 12. Kids under five will get in for free.
