The strategy outlines the programs and resources available for Oxford County employees.
WOODSTOCK - Oxford County council has approved a staff report outlining the County's strategy to manage psychological health and safety in the workplace.
Director of Human Resources Amy Smith says the strategy outlines the programs and resources available to anyone who works for Oxford County.
"So council approved a report in regards to a psychological health and safety in the workplace policy and handbook that we brought forth and this frame work really looks at expanding on the resources and supports that are already available."
Smith explains why they wanted to implement this report.
"I think as everyone knows, society in general is recognizing that mental health and well being is very important and the County recognizes that psychological health is just as important as physical health."
Smith says the strategy supports a more holistic view of workplace health and well-being.
