TILLSONBURG - A new transitional home in Tillsonburg had its ribbon cutting ceremony today.
The home, which has been awaiting its opening for about 13 months now, will be geared towards people who are suffering from addictions and mental health issues.
After a longer than anticipated wait, Director Kelly Gilson was happy to be on site at their new house in Tillsonburg.
"I am so excited to literally give the keys over to the Community Health Centre and let them run and do their magic!"
She added that the Community health Centre will be caring for the home and the tenants who live there.
"They are caring, compassionate, loving, talented people who will lift the tenants up and move them to a better future."
During the ceremony, United Way celebrated with local business owner Cedric Tomico, who was the top supporter during the project. Gilson stated that the project would never have been completed without his helping hand.
She also extended a huge that you to all of the community partners that helped with the project.
