New Walker Point Man

Darren Fry has taken up the position of Director of Strategic Growth after Joe Lyng left Walker Environmental to pursue a new opportunity

Walker Environmental Group has a new point man on the Beachville landfill project.

Joe Lyng has left the company to pursue a new opportunity.

Walker has promoted Darren Fry to Director of Strategic Growth. He tells Heart FM that he's no stranger to the project, "I've been with Walker Environmental Group for 10-years now. My background includes landfill design, construction and landfill operations."

Fry has already been working on the Southwestern Landfill proposal since its inception. "I think a lot of the community will know me. I've been to all of the open houses. I'm looking forward to this new opportunity to get to listen to the community's concerns, hopefully address some of those concerns, and work with them through this process."

The proposal's Terms of Reference is currently before the Ministry of Environment. Fry says they expect to hear back in January or February.
