Oxford County residents excluding Woodstock will have a new waste cycle to follow
OXFORD COUNTY - Changes to the garbage and recycling pick up in all of Oxford County accept for Woodstock start on Monday.
Collection dates will change for most residents and they will be moving to a 5 day system where recylcing is picked up at the same time as your garbage. Waste Management Coordinator for the County Pamela Antonio tells Heart FM one of the biggest changes residents will notice.
"From two stream recycling to single stream recycling, so that means that residents no longer have to seperate their recycling between paper products and container products, they can just put it all into one blue box."
New curbside collection calendars have been mailed this month to homes and businesses in the County. The county has also create a wasteline app and web site wasteline.ca which will tell you everything you need to know about the changes.
