A new and improved Tillsonburg Service Station now offers yard waste and large item waste bins.
TILLSONBURG - The Tillsonburg Service Station has opened new waste depots for public access.
The new and improved station opened today and offers yard waste and large item waste bins.
You can drop off yard waste Monday to Saturday and large item waste only on Saturdays. Drop off hours are always from 9am to 5pm.
Director of Operations Kevin DeLeebeeck says improvements have been made to help residents with disposals.
"The ramp will hopefully make it easier and safer for residents to unload heavy, bulky items like scrap metal and furniture. The renovation also addresses traffic flow, site capacity and signage."
Services will be open to all Oxford County residents and staff have developed a brochure to help users organize their materials for an efficient disposal as well as information on how to dispose of products not accepted.
"Once people understand how the facility is laid out, they'll hopefully be able to group and organize their loads so they're not having to make multiple trips."
