The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority is opening nightly camping on July 6th at Wildwood Pittock Conservation Areas. Fanshawe Conservation Area in London will have nightly camping start on June 29th.
WOODSTOCK - The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority is opening nightly camping on July 6th at Wildwood Conservation Area in St. Marys and Pittock Conservation in Woodstock.
Fanshawe meanwhile will start allowing nightly camping on June 29th. UTRCA Conservation Areas Manager Jennifer Howley says they are pleased to once again offer over night camping.
"We are pleased to announce that nightly camping is opening soon. We need people to continue to respect physical distancing and group size maximums, to help make opening more facilities a success.”

- Splash pad in the campground opens Friday, June 26

- Day use and boat launch/reservoir
- Day use washrooms (north shore and south shore)
- Nightly camping/reservations open Monday, July 6
What's Open at Wildwood Conservation Area?
- Seasonal camping
- Trails for hiking, biking, and enjoying nature
- Day use and boat launch/reservoir
- Day use swimming area/beach and washrooms open Friday, June 19
- Backcountry camping/reservations open Monday, June 22
- Canoe/kayak rentals for backcountry camping open Monday, June 22
- Nightly camping/reservations opens Monday, July 6
Nightly Camping Protocol
In order to promote physical distancing and ensure the safety of our staff and visitors:
- Site availability will be limited to 50% maximum capacity
- Nightly camping will be by reservation only, walk-ins are not permitted
- Shower facilities will not be available, as per direction of local health units
- Laundry facilities remain closed at this time
Some Facilities Remain Closed for the Season
- Swimming pools
- Group camping
- Day use pavilion rentals and picnic shelters
Safety of Staff and Visitors is Paramount
- There may be line-ups at gatehouses and boat launches – please be respectful and patient
- Take time to read the signs and help make your visit safe and enjoyable
- Staff will practice zero tolerance for rule breakers
- Please arrive prepared to tap pay with Visa/Mastercard/Debit

- Respect physical distancing requirements and “group size” maximums
- Please follow all posted rules at trailheads, campgrounds, and boat launches
- Keep your pet leashed at all times - free running pets can be a danger to people and wildlife
