Southwestern Public Health is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 today and another recovery in the Town of Ingersoll.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 today and another recovery in the Town of Ingersoll.
This means we currently have 6 active cases in Oxford County and 3 active cases in St. Thomas.

- 2 cases in Ingersoll
- 2 cases in Woodstock
- 2 cases in Tillsonburg
To date, the Health Unit has tested 5,196 people for COVID-19. We have 75 cumulative confirmed cases, 62 cases have been resolved, 4 people have died from the virus and we currently have 9 active cases. We have also have had three institutional outbreaks since the pandemic was declared. Two outbreaks were in Elgin County and they are listed as resolved. The new institutional outbreak is at Secord Trails Long Term Care Home in the Town of Ingersoll. Thus far 8 employees at the long term care home have tested positive for the virus. All staff and residents have been tested.
