A 22 year old man from Norfolk County has been arrested in connection to the dead body that was pulled from the waters of Lake Erie in Port Burwell on Tuesday.
PORT BURWELL - A 22 year old man from Norfolk County has been charged with Indignity to human remains after police found a body in Port Burwell.
On Tuesday the OPP used a helicopter to lift a body and a refrigerator from the waters of Lake Erie at the tourist beach town. Yesterday police arrested charged Samuel Waters with Indignity to human remains contrary to section 182(b) of the Criminal Code and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on May 15, 2019.
Elgin County OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) is continuing this investigation.
No word at this time as to who the victim is or how they died.
Waters is scheduled to make an appearance in is St. Thomas on May 15.
