Norfolk OPP Briefs - May 5th, 2025

Norfolk OPP have charged six people as a result of separate investigations involving intimate partner violence.

NORFOLK - Shortly after 5:30pm on Sunday, April 27, 2025, Norfolk (OPP) officers responded to a reported assault.

Two individuals were involved in an interaction, during which the victim was verbally threatened, physically assaulted, and had their property damaged. The victim sustained minor injuries. One individual was taken into custody without incident.

A 22-year-old from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

Assault - spousal (two counts),
Mischief under $5,000 (two counts),
Failure to comply with Release Order - other than to attend court (two counts),
Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm - spousal.

Later that same night, just before 9:30 pm police were called to another reported assault.

Two individuals had an interaction on the premises, which led to the victim being physically assaulted. No injuries were reported. One individual was taken into custody without incident.

A 49-year-old from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offence:

Assault - spousal.

On Tuesday, April 29th, Norfolk OPP officers were on the scene of a reported assault.

It was determined that two individuals were involved in an interaction on public property, during which the victim was physically assaulted. No injuries were reported. One individual was taken into custody without incident.

A 41-year-old from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

Assault with a weapon,
Fail to comply with Probation Order.

A report of threats being uttered resulted in a call to OPP shortly before 7 am on Wednesday, April 30th.

An individual had an interaction on the premises that involved threatening the victim. The same person was also found to have set fire to an object on the property. No injuries were reported.

A 31-year-old from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

Uttering threats - damage property,
Arson - damage to property,
Fail to comply with Probation Order (six counts).

A 27-year-old from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offence:

Assault - spousal.

On Saturday, May 3rd, OPP responded to a reported dispute.

It was determined that two individuals were involved in an interaction inside a residence, resulting in the victim sustaining minor injuries from a physical assault.

A 26-year-old from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offence:
