Those who are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine can now book an appointment to get the shot at the Northwood Medical Centre in Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - The Northwood Medical Centre in Woodstock is now administering the COVID-19 vaccine.
Dr. Norman Yu says those who are eligible can now book an appointment, even if they're not a regular patient at the clinic on Springbank Ave.
"We're offering it anyone in the community who wants one and qualifies for one. Anyone can call us to book an appointment."
You can call the clinic at 519-537-6147 or send an e-mail to northwoodmedicalcentre@gmail.com in order to book an appointment.
Dr. Yu says they're currently administering the AstraZeneca vaccine but that could change in the future.
"Currently we have the AstraZeneca vaccine, but do to the ongoing supply issues with the other vaccines that may change at some point. The Health Unit is going to keep us appraised of that."
Dr. Yu says Southwestern Public Health reached out to local doctor's offices a couple of weeks ago to see if they had any interest in administering the vaccine. He knows of a couple of other doctor's offices that have started offering the vaccine over the past couple of days.
