All of the proceeds will support the Upper Deck in Norwich.
NORWICH - You'll be able to enjoy a delicious breakfast, all while supporting a great local cause.
The Norwich Fire Association will be hosting a pancake breakfast this Saturday at Station 2 on Main Street in Norwich.
Volunteer Firefighter and Event Chair Paula Andreychuk says all of the proceeds will be going to Norwich and Area Youth Unlimited, also known as the Upper Deck.
"Upper Deck really has a commitment to offering programs for the kids and creating relations with them that develop them physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. They see the potential in young kids and we want to support that."
The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and there will be pancakes, sausages, coffee, and juice on the menu.
Andreychuk says it's all by donation.
"So we've had some local amazing sponsors like Haupt Tree Line donated the pancake mix, the original Lot 17 donated maple syrup, Tim Horton's donated and so did Produce Express. At the end of the day, we are really hoping some people drop some money into the firefighter boots as a donation if they can."
The breakfast will be taking place inside the Fire Hall, so the firetrucks will be parked out front with some fire prevention officers nearby, so they can answer any questions people might have.
