Six local skiers will participate at the OFSSA finals later this month
A harsh winter has paid off for a group of local high school students.
Six skiers will represent Oxford County at the OFSSA Cross County Ski championships February 25th and 26th in Timmins.
The WOSSAA Cross Country championships were held on Monday at the Windy Hill Farm near Thamesford where the six participants made the cut to compete at OFSSA.
Advancing to the OFSSA finals are:
Jacob Van Boekel, Huron Park Junior Boys (4th place finish)
Emily Ukos, Huron Park Senior Girls (8th place finish)
Laura Hopson, Ingersoll Senior Girls (7th place finish)
Kirsten Sutherland, Ingersoll Junior Girls (6th place finish)
Brittany Wilson, Ingersoll Junior Girls (14th place finish)
Laura Seys, Ingersoll Junior Girls (17th place finish)
