The crash involved two cars and an SUV on Highway 24 in Norfolk County.
NORFOLK - The Norfolk OPP is investigating a fatal crash involving three vehicles north of Simcoe and south east of Waterford.
Police say two sedans and an SUV collided on Highway 24, between Windham Road 11 and Old Highway 24, at around 3:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon.
Constable Andrew Gamble posted a video on the OPP West Region X page almost two hours later. He said several people were hurt in the crash.
"The passenger is one of the sedans was pronounced deceased at the scene and the driver of that sedan was transported to a trauma centre by Ornge Air Ambulance with undetermined injuries. Both the driver and the passenger of the SUV were transported to an area hospital with undetermined injuries. The driver of the other sedan was treated for minor injuries."
The person who passed away has since been identified as a 87-year-old from Norfolk County.
The area was closed for several hours for the investigation but has since reopened.
