It has been a tragic 12 hour period in Oxford County as a second fatal collision was reported this morning in Norwich Township.
UPDATE: Potters Road is now open, following a police investigation into this crash.
NORWICH TOWNSHIP - It has been a tragic 12 hour period in Oxford County as a second fatal collision was reported this morning, in the span of 8 hours.
The driver of an SUV has died after single vehicle collision this morning at 7 on Potters Road in Norwich Township. OPP, Fire, EMS and the Ornge Air Ambulance all responded to the crash, however the male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The four other men in the vehicle were taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Police say the SUV was heading east bound on Potters Road when it traveled off of the roadway, rolled over and came to a rest in the field.
The identity of the deceased is not being released at this time, pending next of kin notification.
Potters Road is currently closed between Middle Townline Road and Summerville Line while emergency crews are on scene.
OPP continue to investigate is asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have any information to assist with the investigation to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
