A person from Norfolk County was duped out of $900 in an online dating scam.
NORFOLK COUNTY - OPP are raising awareness about online dangers after a local citizen was scammed out of $900.
The OPP, the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre partners, the RCMP and the Competition Bureau of Canada are reminding everyone to verify website legitimacy and never share bank info online to strangers.
Scams can happen to anyone regardless of age or gender, so be cautious next time you're online.
