An online petition calling on Woodstock City and Oxford County councillor Sandra Talbot to resign has nearly 400 signatures since it was launched over the weekend.
WOODSTOCK - Nearly 400 people have signed an online petition calling on Woodstock City and County Councillor Sandra Talbot to resign.
The petition on change.org was launched 2 days ago. It states that Councillor Talbot's decision to travel abroad over the holidays is a do as I say not as I do attitude that is a disregard for the health and safety of everyone.
Woodstock Mayor Trevor Birtch issued a statement on Talbot's decision over the weekend. You can read it online here. He plans on bringing forward a motion at the next County council meeting to have Talbot removed from the Southwestern Public Board of Health.
Heart FM reached out to Councillor Talbot this morning for a comment regarding the petition and the Mayor's comments. We will update this story if she gets back to us.
