Officials are currently trying to identify the human remains that were discovered at the scene of a structure fire on Highway 2 in Brant County.
BRANT COUNTY - Human remains have been discovered at the scene of a structure fire in Brant County.
Emergency crews were called to the blaze on Highway 2 at around 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday. The building was fully engulfed in flames when they first arrived on scene, but firefighters were able to get it under control and extinguish the blaze.
The Brant OPP say the human remains were discovered at the scene on Wednesday and officials are currently trying to identify the person who died.
The Ontario Fire Marshal is investigating the matter and no further details have been released at this time.
