OPP Briefs a Town Hall meeting in Burford tonight, graffiti at Optimist Park in Paris and an alert citizen helps police nab an impaired driver in Burford.
BURFORD/PARIS - Brant County OPP are hosting a Town Hall meeting in Burford tonight.
Detachment Commander Inspector Lisa Anderson, will be there to provide the community with an update on what the Police is doing and some of the issues facing Brant County. She will also pass on some important safety information and crime prevention tips. The Brant County and Brantford Crime Stoppers will also be in attendance offering insight into their programs and community service.
Brant OPP have already hosted a Town Hall meeting in St. George and have three more to go with the next one happening tonight in Burford. Here is a complete list of Town Hall locations and times:
- Burford Tuesday May 21st 2019 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Burford Arena located at 14 Potter Drive in Burford, Ontario.
- Paris Monday May 27th 2019 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at The Brant Sportsplex located at 944 Powerline Road, Paris, Ontario.
- Onondaga on Monday June 3rd 2019 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Onondaga Community Hall located at 42 Brantford Street, Onondaga, Ontario.

BURFORD - Optimist Park in Paris has been tagged with graffiti.
OPP say the park was damaged on May 7th. Numbers graffiti tags were done on a concrete storage building within the park on Catherine Street.
The County of Brant OPP are requesting the public's assistance in identifying the suspects involved in the incident. Anyone with information can call the County of Brant OPP Criminal Investigations unit at 1-888-310-1122.

BURFORD - Brant OPP are thanking an alert citizen with helping them arrest an impaired driver in Burford.
OPP were called last week about an erratic driver on Maple Avenue South. Police were able to track the car down and arrest the 56 year old male driver from Brant County with impaired driving.
He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date to answer to his charges. If convicted, the offender will be subject to the Criminal Code penalties, including a fine or jail time, and a driving prohibition.
