Two drivers were slapped with impaired driving charges Saturday morning while a 19 year-old Woodstock man is facing Dangerous Driving and Possession of a Controlled Substance charges after calls from concerned citizens in Zorra Township later that night. 49 year-old Ivica Miletic of Woodstock was charged with Impaired Driving after a fail to remain collision in Waterloo. The vehicle was last reported to be travelling on the 401 before an Oxford OPP officer spotted the car on Wilson Street in the city. Miletic lost his licence for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded. A London man was stopped on Victoria Street in Ingersoll around 7:15 am after losing control of his car and landed facing the wrong way on the roadway. Oxford OPP charged 25 year-old Daniel Westenberg with Impaired Driving. Later that night, concerned citizens reported a suspected impaired driver on Road #68 in Zorra Township. The driver was said to be tailgating, swerving into oncoming traffic and driving on the gravel shoulder. Police responded and discovered the driver was not impaired but was in possession of marijuana. Dominik Ciupek, 19 years-old of Woodstock was charged with Dangerous Driving and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Early Sunday morning, Oxford OPP received a report of a suspected impaired driver on Plank Line around 1:30 am. Police followed the vehicle from Plank Line to the 401 where they initiated a traffic stop however the car proceeded on and exited at Foldens Line. The driver stopped and two passengers ran from the vehicle before the driver took off again. OPP eventually found the vehicle abandoned on Plank Line at Curry Road. After a search of the area, police found the driver and arrested 31 year-old David Pangborn of London. He faces 8 charges in total: Fail to stop for police Flight from police Dangerous Operation-Motor Vehicle Fail to Remain Drive while disqualified Impaired operation of a motor vehicle Exceed 80 milligrams blood alcohol Driving while under suspension Sunday evening around 5:30 pm, motorists reported two drivers engaged in reckless behaviour on the 401 near Ingersoll. The two were tailgating, switching lanes repeatedly and exchanging hand gestures as well as slowing up traffic behind them. David Shacter, 51 years-old of London was charged with Dangerous Driving and Possession of a Controlled Substance; 30 year-old Denis Vidmar of Amherstburg was also charged with Dangerous Driving.
