Two men have been charged after a series of crimes took place in Zorra Township and East Zorra Tavistock Thursday night.
Oxford OPP have charged two men after a crime spree took place in Zorra Township and East Zorra Tavistock.
Witnesses called police at around 7:30pm Thursday, when they spotted suspects entering a home on Road 88, between 37th and 41st Line in Zorra Township. They gained entry by smashing a door in and stole a various tools valuing the theft at $4,500.
Police say they left the scene in a 2009 Dodge Caliber, which was later involved in a gas theft from Tavistock Gas and Variety. After further investigation officers discovered that same vehicle was also reported stolen in Essex County on Wednesday.
Police arrested two men, one of which was carrying lottery tickets and personal bank documents that were reported stolen from a vehicle in Hickson.
21 year old Jesse Carric of Lakeshore has been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000, break and enter and two counts of failing to comply with probation. 26 year old Andrew Buchen of Windsor has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime and failing to comply with probation.
OPP are continuing to investigate and they are encouraging anyone who may have fell victim to a break and enter or theft in East Zorra Tavistock or Zorra Township Thursday night to reach out to them.
