Norfolk OPP are looking to speak with the driver of a transport after a fatal collision with a pedestrian in Delhi.
DELHI - Norfolk OPP are still investigating a fatal hit and run in Delhi.
On March March 17th a 72 year old woman was hit by a vehicle while she was out walking on King Street. Sally Ann Dollard was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police have determined that a vehicle was heading eastbound on King Street when it collided with Dollard. OPP have identified a transport truck that was travelling in the area during the time of the collision and are still trying to speak with the driver. If anyone has any information or can identify the operator or the trucking firm, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
Constable Ed Sanchuk tells Heart FM they are hoping a tip from the public can lead them in the right direction.
"Investigators were successful in locating and identifying the operator and company of the first transport truck that was travelling through the area at the time of the collision. Police are now appealing for witnesses that may be able to identify the second transport truck. I am urging anyone with any information to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122."
