Oxford County OPP are investigating a fire in Ingersoll. Thursday morning the Ingersoll Fire Department entinguished the blaze at 242 Thames St. North in the town. The fire took over most of the rear of the home. The Ontario Fire Marshal was called in to assist in the investigation along with the Oxford County OPP Crime Unit. The three residents inside the residence at the time of the fire were alerted and left the house safetly. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area of the fire to come forward with that information. They would also like to speak with the man that was driving by the residence who saw the fire and alerted the people in the house by banging on the door. This man is described as possibly being in his 60?s, with grey hair, wearing a dark blue jacket with yellow lettering. He was believed to have been driving a Chrysler New Yorker style vehicle.
