The Oxford County Quilty Pleasures group has donated over 2,000 masks, headbands, scrub caps, scrub sacks and ear savers to local area hospitals, police EMS and other front line workers in Oxford County.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Oxford County Quilty Pleasures team just keeps growing and they are making masks for frontline workers every single day.
What started out as a hobby has grown into a full time job for original members Kathy Killaire and Kelly Cowell. Together the team has donated over 1,500 masks to local area hospitals, police EMS and other front line workers in Oxford County. You can find more information on their Facebook page.
They have expanded operations to start making head bands, Scrub caps, Scrub sacks and ear savers. Well over 2,000 helpful items have been donated out to front line workers. Kathy Killaire says this wouldn't be possible without the amazing group of volunteers who are stepping up in these trying times.
"Such a great team of women, we couldn't do it without them. I have heard from more then one of them that this is making there lock down bearable. It gives them something to keep them busy, and is so needed. And the generous people receiving these items have donated over $1,000.00 to help big brothers big sisters. my heart over flows with the generosity of our community."
Killaire says they are still getting requests for donations and they are asking for all donations to go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County. You can donate to BBBS of Oxford County online here.
