Oxford County’s drinking water and wastewater treatment systems continue to operate at a high level of safety.
Oxford County Public Works has released the performance reports for Waste Management, Water and Wastewater.
Everything was found to be safe and reliable in 2017. Director of Public Works David Simpson says the reports came back very favourable.
"These are excellent annual report results which demonstrates that we are on the right track in terms of how we are operating and maintaining our public works water, waste water and waste water management systems. That being said we are always reviewing for continuous improvement opportunities within our public work services that we provide to the community."
Simpson says this report is released to the public every year.
"We are very transparent to the public and the community about the various services and programs that we provide to residents and businesses and essentially these are three facets of our rural business in the water, waste water and waste management world that we wanted to just keep everyone informed of where we are at both in terms of performance and a regulatory compliance stand point."
