The free event will feature 29 local artists this Saturday and Sunday.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Oxford Studio is getting ready for its 17th tour
The event is happening Saturday May 3rd, and Sunday May 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Both new and returning artists will be featured, according to Tabitha Verbuyst of Tillsonburg’s Station Arts Centre (SAC).
"This is such a nice way to meet these artists, see their style, have a conversation with them. You get to share this experience together, and if you take home a piece, something that spoke to you, you have that forever."
Among the artists participating is Woodstock's, Mary-Anne Murphy. She will be showcasing her ‘Pyro Pottery’ collection.
All forms of art will be displayed including, oil, acrylic and watercolour paintings, graphite, pen and ink, encaustic and mixed media and digital creations, photography, jewelry, weaving, fibre collage and gourd art, woodworking and stained glass.
It will be a tariff and admission-free made-in-Canada spring celebration.
The tour will have five locations including the Sally Creek Community Centre in Woodstock, the Ingersoll Creative Arts Centre, 868 Nellis Street in Woodstock, and a new cluster in Norwich.
A tour map, artist profiles and locations and a list of sponsors supporting its continued operation can be found on the Oxford Studio Tour website or by calling 519-842-6151.
