Today is the final day of Paramedics Week in Oxford County
OXFORD COUNTY - Paramedics were celebrated with Paramedic Week.
Today is the last day of the week that happened throughout oxford county and the nation.
Chief Ben Addley says it's not an easy job.
"We're there to help them out when the situation is not the best for them. So our paramedics have to be able to manage the emotional side, the impacts that can have on them while they're going about performing their emergency skills and assisting people."
Addley also stated that the paramedics decided to give back as a thank you.
"The paramedic staff did a community car wash and raised over $1250 to go towards sending kids to camp through the children's aid Oxford."
