The Medical Officer of Health for Peel Region is enacting section 22 of the Ontario Health Protection and Promotion Act to close all schools in Peel Region.
PEEL - Schools in the Peel Region will not open on Tuesday according to multiple sources.
Peel Region Medical Officer of Health Dr. Lawrence Loh has made the decision and using his powers under section 22 of the Ontario Health and Protection and Promotion Act to close all of the schools in Peel.
Dr. DeVilla in Toronto is said to be considering a similar course of action.
No word on how long schools will remain closed in Peel or how teachers will adapt with next to no warning as remote learning will begin tomorrow.
