You can purchase a Pink the Towns lawn sign today and show your support for anyone living with breast cancer and raise money for breast cancer research.
WOODSTOCK - Pink the Towns will be selling lawn signs this afternoon at the Heart FM parking lot at 223 Norwich Ave this afternoon.
You can also pick up a sign you have already purchased. The signs cost $20 with all the proceeds going to breast cancer research. These signs are being sold all across Ontario, inlcuding locally in Tillsonburg, Ayr, Ingersoll, Goderich and Stratford.
Pink the Signs started two years ago by Stage 3 breast cancer survivor and fighter Bec Matthews. She explains the goal of the orgnanization.
"October is breast cancer month and we are hoping to paint the towns pink with signs showing support for breast cancer awareness month and to show support for all the cancer patients, survivors and those who are lost. It is closer to 1 in 6 people who will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year."
They ordered 5000 lawn signs this year and have already sold 3000. Pink the Towns will at be at the Heart FM studios at 223 Norwich Ave in Woodstock today Thursday September 9 from 3-6:30 pm and then again this Saturday September 11 from 11-2.
