Pittock is once again unsafe for swimming. According to Public Health, water tests revealed E. coli bacteria levels above provincial standards. E. coli bacteria in water is an indicator of fecal contamination from either animals or people or both. Recreational water illnesses include a wide variety of infections, skin, eye, ear, nose and throat infections or diarrheal illness if ingested. Postings have gone up on the beach until further notice.
