The front entrance of the J&P Variety Store has been destroyed after a brazen early morning break and enter.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police are searching for four suspects after a drive through break and enter at a local business.
A red SUV drove into the J/P variety store at 509 Ingersoll Ave. around 3:45 this morning.
Woodstock Police Community Service and Media Relations Officer, Nikki VanLeeuwen says police arrived 45 seconds after the initial call.
"We received a 911 call, and responded within 45 seconds to a break and enter in progress at the J&P Variety store on Ingersoll Ave. We arrived and the suspects had fled the area."
The suspects tied an ATM machine to the SUV and drove off. The vehicle was then set on fire on Melbourne Street. It was fully engulfed in flames when police arrived and the suspects fled in a pickup truck.
Police are searching for three men and one woman who were last spotted in a 2004 Black Chevy pick up truck. Damage to the store is estimated at $250,000
