Police Briefs: Includes person of interest in Woodstock fraud/theft and pair charged in Blandford Blenheim crash.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police are looking for the public's help in find a person of interest for a fraud/theft investigation. Police received a report of a stolen wallet and the man is a suspect because he made several attempts to use the stolen bank card at a Royal Bank ATM in the City. Constable Nikki Vanleeuwen tells Heart FM police have exhausted our usual resources in identifying the male. BLANDFORD BLENHEIM - Two people from the Waterloo Region were arrested after a crash on Highway 2 near Mir Line in Blandford Blenheim Township. Police were called to the area on Monday morning.
Both the driver and the passenger had minor injuries in the crash. When police asked the driver for identification, she presented them with a fake card that had been stolen from the Waterloo region according to Police. OPP say they also recovered stolen tools from the vehicle and both the driver and passenger were arrested at the scene.
A 21 year old woman from Cambridge was charged with obstruct a peace officer, personation with attempt to avoid arrest and possession of property obtained by crime. The 44 year old male passenger from Kitchener was charged with fail to comply with probation order, and possession of property obtained by crime.
