Police had their hands full as a suspected drunk driver tried to make a break for it on foot, cutting through backyards.
STRATFORD - A man has been charged after Stratford Police responded to reports of a possibly drunk driver.
On Saturday afternoon around 1 p.m. police attempted a traffic stop in the Whitelock and McNab area. The driver tried to make a break for it, running through backyards and jumping over fences. When officers caught up with him, they were able to arrest him without incident.
Investigation revealed the man was already disqualified due to a previous conviction from January. Breath samples showed he was more than double the legal limit.
