Woodstock Police were busy this past weekend investigating several vehicle entries. In most cases, the suspects stole cash from inside the vehicles.
WOODSTOCK - Local authorities are investigating several vehicle entries that occurred over the past weekend.
On Friday, Woodstock Police received a report of a theft that occurred at a Maud Street residence in the City of Woodstock. The theft occurred between 4:30 pm and 5:15 pm, and cash was stolen.
Police are also reporting that during the night, a red Hyundai SUV was entered on Mohawk Street while parked in the driveway and cash was stolen.
On Saturday, Police received a report of a theft that had just occurred in the area of Chapel Street. The investigation revealed that a family member was actually inside the vehicle when an unknown male entered the vehicle and stole a cellphone.
The male is described as white, wearing all black and left running west towards Wilson Street.
Police are also investigating two separate vehicle entries that occurred on Fairway Road. Around 3:17 am Monday a male entered a GMC pick-up truck. The investigation revealed that after a few minutes, the same male then walked north and entered a Dodge pick-up truck where an amount of cash was stolen. The investigation is ongoing.
