The Oxford OPP say a man driving an older model grey or silver minivan approached a 13-year-old girl walking alone in Norwich yesterday morning. She was able to run away safely.
NORWICH - The Oxford OPP is currently investigating an attempted abduction in Norwich.
Police say a minivan approached a 13-year-old girl while she was walking alone in the Main Street and Washington Street area at around 10:50 a.m. yesterday. Officers say the man behind the wheel tried to convince the girl to get in the front seat of his van, but she was able to run away safely.
The man is believed to be in his 60s. He's also thin and has grey hair.
His vehicle is described as an older model grey or silver minivan with a rounded front grill and a black roof rack. The van was last spotted heading west on Main Street.
