An investigation is underway after someone stole more than $20-million worth of gold and other valuables from Toronto Pearson Airport.
MISSISSAUGA - More than $20-million worth of gold and other valuables have been stolen from Toronto Pearson International Airport.
Peel Regional Police say the theft happened this past Monday evening after a plane was unloaded and the cargo was transported to a holding facility.
Officers have not released the name of the airline, where the plane came from, or where the cargo was heading. They have also not released any information regarding potential suspects.
Police say this is a very rare and isolated incident, and there is no concern for safety at the airport.
