Woodstock police are asking for the public's help in finding the person or people responsible for throwing thumb tacks and sewing needles on the mulched play equipment area in Southside Park yesterday.

Officers were called to the scene yesterday morning around 10 am and started the investigation. Police are asking the public, if you have any information at all about this crime to call WPS at 519-537-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 519-421-TIPS (8477).
The playground was closed for several hours yesterday after staff discovered a number of discarded sewing needles and thumb tacks in a blatant attempt to injure children.
This isn't the first instance of this either.
Earlier this month, Woodstock Police were also called to investigate the spread of nails throughout the cricket pitch and nearby playing area.
Parents are being asked to use caution and check for sharp objects at all city parks until this person is caught.
