Police recovered $185,000 worth of stolen equipment after a search warrant on May 24th.
WOODSTOCK - A 34 year old man from Woodstock has been arrested after police recovered $185,000 worth of stolen property.
Police have been investigating thefts from construction sites since late December. On May 24th they secured a search warrant for a property on Tecumseh Street and a home on Oxford Street in Woodstock. As a result of that warrant they arrested 34 year old Kevin Truscott. He has been charged with 21 counts of fraud and possession of stolen property.
Some of the items recovered were a bobcat mini track loader, mini excavator, movie projector, hydraulic grappler and several other pieces of machinery.
Police say at least 17 victims have been identified so far. Most of the stolen property has been returned to the rightful owners.
The investigation is ongoing.
