The In person service on Sunday at the Trinity Bible Chapel included controversial anti lockdown supporters in MPP Randy Hillier, restaurant owner Adam Skelly and Aylmer Pastor Henry Hildebrant.
WATERLOO - Ontario Premier Doug Ford called the decision to hold an in person church service at the Trinity Bible Chapel careless and irresponsible.
The service had controversial guests in MPP Randy Hillier, Adam Skelly, and Aylmer Pastor Henry Hildebrant. All three have made a name for themselves as people adamantly against the lockdowns. Hillier is a former Conservative MPP, who is now an Independent and a harsh critic of COVID-19 lockdowns. Hillier was kicked out of the Conservative caucus earlier this year. Adam Skelly is the owner of Adamson BBQ and has managed to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars after fighting to keep his restaurant open during the lockdown. Aylmer Pastor Henry Hildebrant is just about as controversial as they come and is well known in this region for his anti-mask, anti lockdown stance.
I dropped in on a friend today and what a surprise! @aylmerpastor & @adamskely were there! Great conversations & great company. After a wonderful service this morning in Waterloo @TBCWR it was a top shelf day. #onpoli #nomorelockdowns pic.twitter.com/uBnJ4WRqWy

Trinity Bible Chapel held an in person service on Sunday. Police have stated that charges will be forthcoming. Premier Doug Ford was asked about it today.
"I understand places of worship are very important, other places of worship have gone online and have actually had more people viewing and going to services online then they had prior is what I have been told. I think it's careless and irresponsible for them to host this, especially in the situation we are in right now. Waterloo numbers, I've seen them jump up before, so, I'd really encourage them not to do this, they are not being responsible whatsoever."
Ford says he's disappointed in everyone who attended.
"They have to be responsible, I'm so disappointed that people would go there and I understand how important places of worship are. They have to lead by example, they're community leaders and I just encourage them, please don't continue doing this and there will be consequences."
